DB ultrasonic technology effectively targets mosquitoes, mice, and roaches, stunning them with powerful ultrasonic waves that turn the space into a hostile environment for their adaptation. For rodents, the carefully calibrated frequencies induce stress and discomfort, forcing them to leave the treated area.
DB electromagnetic technology affects ants by altering their communication and navigation systems. Ants use chemical signals and natural electric fields to orient and communicate within their colony. The electromagnetic pulses generated by these devices interfere with these signals, causing disorientation and making movement or coordination difficult.

As a result, ants perceive the environment as hostile and tend to avoid areas where the electronic repeller is active.
This keeps them away from protected areas without using chemicals. Its compact size allows easy installation in any space at home, and its low power consumption makes it perfect for prolonged use.

It takes at least a week for ants to leave the area, and it is common to see them disoriented, failing to follow their typical ant trails. This disorientation forces them to abandon the area.

Is it safe for pets?
Yes, the device is safe for people and pets, as it does not use chemicals or emit odors. The DB-05 electronic repeller is designed to be highly effective against rodents. However, if you have rodents as pets (such as hamsters or guinea pigs), it is recommended not to place them in the same area of the device, as ultrasonic frequencies can cause them stress and discomfort.

Does it work with any type of mosquito?
DB Ultrasonic technology has been tested with the Common Mosquito (Culex pipiens), Tiger Mosquito (Aedes albopictus), Dengue vector mosquito (Aedes aegypti), and mosquitoes that transmit Chikungunya, Malaria, and Zika (Anopheles gambiae).

Does it work with any type of roaches?
Its effectiveness has been tested with German Roaches (Blatella germanica) and American Roaches (Periplaneta americana).

Does it work with any type of mice?
It is designed to affect mice of the species Mus musculus, although it may affect other types of rodents as well.

Does it work with any type of ants?
It has been designed for the most common ants: Black Garden Ants (Lasius niger) and Argentine Ants (Linepithema humile).

What is the lifespan of the DB-05 Pest Repeller?

No, it does not require refills.

Where should I place the pest repeller?
Place it in the room you want to protect from mosquitoes, mice, and/or roaches. Do not block the front of the device for better protection of the entire room.

To protect against mosquitoes while sleeping, place the device at a minimum height of 1–2 meters (3–6 ft) from the floor.

For ant problems, place it in the most affected area (usually kitchens, pantries, etc.), in an outlet not shared with other appliances. Make sure the electrical phase in the affected room is the same as the one where the repeller is plugged in.

Does it cover multiple rooms for ants?
Yes, up to a maximum area of 250 m² (2,690 sq. ft.) per electrical phase, as the effect on ants is generated by electromagnetic signals from the building wiring, not by ultrasounds.

My house has 2 floors but the total area is less than 250 m² (2,690 sq. ft.). How many pest repellers should I use?
For multi-floor homes, we suggest using one device per floor (or electrical phase) if ants are present throughout the house. First, cover the room, area, or floor where the ants are initially present. Sometimes protecting only the affected floor is enough to make the ants leave without spreading to other areas.

How long does it take to take effect?
For mice, roaches, and ants, the best results are seen within 1–3 weeks, as pests, although disturbed immediately, initially resist leaving. Among the different species, Argentine ants and German roaches are the most resistant and may take longer to disappear.

Why do I see more roaches and/or ants in the first days of using the pest repeller?
It may happen that pests hidden initially emerge to the surface. This indicates they are leaving the area.

Should it remain plugged in permanently?
Maximum effectiveness is achieved by leaving it on 24 hours a day. Electricity consumption is only 7 W (negligible).

Can I place more than one pest repeller in the same room?
Yes, the effect is enhanced to cover the maximum area possible.

Can I plug another Diamond Bell® model into the same room?
Yes, our products are fully compatible.

The insects aren’t leaving!
Mosquitoes may remain inactive due to the repeller, staying still to avoid biting.

  • Make sure the LED indicator is on.
  • Ensure it emits a slight high-pitched sound when plugged in/unplugged and that the front is unobstructed.
  • Leave it operating continuously 24 hours a day.

Can I combine it with the use of poisons?
It is not recommended to use simultaneously, as poisons attract pests while the repeller drives them away, creating opposite effects.

What should I do if the LED indicator does not work?
Check that the device does not work in another outlet. If confirmed, contact Diamond Bell Technical Support.
